ILOG CPLEX now automatically recognizes and solves models that include certain types of quadratic constraints. It can prune out a good deal of possiblities by finding violated constraints. Client code specifies the constraints to be maintained, and the solver updates the constrained variables to have values that satisfy the constraints.
